It feels like an oven in here and I can hardly take it anymore. I’ve been longing for the beach since Summer started and I can only imagine about it due to me being broke. I suddenly envy my mom, sister and nephew because they just got home from Boracay, where their main purpose in going there was to attend my cousin’s wedding. I wasn’t able to come because of some problem.. Anyway, I just wish we can still plan to go to the beach because I don’t want to end my Summer knowing I didn’t spend it well. Oh well, let’s see.
Haven’t blogged here for about 15 days, I think, hence the title. Lame title is lame. Being busy isn’t the cause of my absence.. it’s our limited internet connection! Don’t ask me why “limited” because I’ll just be in a bad mood if I talk about it. Anyway, I already claimed my prize from Skechers! :D Although, we can only use the gift certificates at Skechers Market! Market! which is kind of far from our place, but it’s fine. :)
Status Magazine had a contest with Sketchers which was to pair 3 shoe styles with 3 travel-ready outfits in a form of digital collage. At stake are P10,000 worth of Gift Certificate from Sketchers and the winning entries will be interpreted in a Sketchers Editorial, to be published in Status mag’s May issue. So immediately I joined in as I’m really fond of making digital collages ever since I discovered about Polyvore(where, luckily, I won a contest of Katy Perry and got signed CD’s, vinyl records, posters, etc. of her as a prize). And, hello?! It’s P10k worth of Sketchers GC! Lol. Anyway, I am happy with the outcome of my entries, but most of all, I enjoyed making them. Thursday came, announcement of the winners.. And my name was mentioned! In all caps, it was written! Haha! I can’t believe I was chosen as one of the two winners, ‘cos seriously, there are a lot of great entries. But of course, I’m very happy I won. I’m excited for the GC haha and also about my entries being published on Status mag. :D
